A little birdy told me you wanted to find an easier way to keep up to date with the Outlander Book Club posts. What better way than a post that collects all the Outlander Book 1 posts together?

Honestly, this is something I should have thought about before. After all, I did it with the MacBree-mas post back in December! I’m only sorry that I didn’t make this easier for you. Tomorrow, there will be a post for all of Book 2 so far with the post updated weekly with the individual posts going forward.

Outlander Book 1: Back to the beginning

The first book is where we get to meet the characters. We see Claire on her honeymoon with Frank. It’s her second honeymoon, with the two separated by World War II. Soon, they’ll become separated again, but not just by an ocean and a war. They’ll be separated by time.

Claire falls through the stones, which is when she finds herself 200 years in the past and in the arms of a group of Highlanders. Not all are friendly, but there’s one, in particular, we see Claire is drawn to. At first, she thinks it’s just an infatuation, but she realizes there’s more to it eventually.

The first book takes us on a wild ride across Scotland. There are people getting ready for the Jacobite rebellion to come, a man she loves with a bounty on his head, and a major decision she needs to make. Will she return to her own time or stay in the past?
