Outlander Season 4 spoilers: Will Nell Hudson’s Laoghaire return?
Love her, hate her, despise her, Laoghaire has been in every single season of Outlander. Will that be the case for Outlander Season 4? It’s time to delve in to find out.
Laoghaire is one of those characters you love to hate. She’s been in every single season of the series so far. And there’s no denying that Nell Hudson is an excellent actress. After all, it’s impossible not to love her in Victoria. Now fans who haven’t read the books want to know whether Laoghaire will return in Outlander Season 4.
If you saw the spoilery photos a few months back, you’ll know the answer. Those who have read the books will also know. Here’s a look at whether Laoghaire will grace us with her presence.

Considering the spoilery photos, it is possible to say that Nell Hudson will definitely return to the series. It’s probably only for an episode, similar to both Seasons 2 and 3, but she will make an appearance.
Unfortunately, it’s not up against Claire again–although I’d love to see that happen once more. This time, Laoghaire gets to face off against Claire’s daughter.
Brianna steps through the stones and will make it clear to those at Lallybroch that she is Jamie’s daughter. There’s no denying it when you look at her, and then she’ll have the pearl necklace that belonged to Ellen MacKenzie Fraser to boot.
Laoghaire isn’t going to be happy with this turn of events. She finally had Jamie. While it wasn’t a happy marriage, she had him and everything that came with him. Plus, he was a good man for her daughters. Now, she’s lost him to Claire again but in the back of her mind, she probably thought things weren’t too bad. The two didn’t have children.
Then along comes Brianna and shatters that. Claire gave Jamie the one thing that everyone thought wasn’t going to happen: a child. Granted, he also has Willie but the people at Lallybroch don’t know that. To them, he’s a childless former laird of Lallybroch. Now Brianna comes in and unsettles all that.
Outlander Season 4 is set to be epic. The promo didn’t show any of Brianna’s storyline, so it’s going to be exciting to see everything that is to come.
