Outlander Season 4 spoilers: Does the season finale involve Jocasta’s plantation?
Caitriona Balfe thanked her colleagues on Twitter for the last day of Outlander Season 4 filming for the main set. Does this give us some hints for the season finale?
If you’ve read the books, you’ll already know how “Drums of Autumn” ends so how Outlander Season 4 is likely to end. For those who haven’t read all the books yet, there are some spoilers from the fourth book.
Caitriona Balfe tweeted out that Outlander Season 4 filming had wrapped on the main set. Tagging a group of people in, she made it clear just who has been involved in the last days of filming. These names are certainly telling when it comes to the season finale. After all, we know the cast and crew are working on the season finale right now.
Some of the names in the tweet including Natalie Simpson, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and (who should have been) Colin McFarlane. The names will stand out as those involved in the Aunt Jocasta plantation. Caitlin O’Ryan was also mentioned, who will play Lizzie, Brianna’s indentured servant. This suggests that the season finale will be at the plantation. At least, some of it will be!

The end of “Drums of Autumn” is a very important Gathering. The Frasers attend the marriage of Duncan Innes and Aunt Jocasta. Right now, we don’t know if Duncan Innes will be part of the fourth season. Many fans suspect (and partially worry) that Murtagh will take on the role of Duncan Innes in Outlander Season 4. Is it possible that we’ll actually see the wedding of Jocasta and Murtagh at the end of this season? Diana Gabaldon has previously mentioned Murtagh won’t replace Duncan, but you just never know!

While there were other mentions in the tweet, they’re all people we know. It’s hard to guess what really is to come in the Outlander Season 4 filming, but it looks like it’s definitely something to do with Aunt Jocasta.
