Will Jamie meet Roger in Outlander Season 4? [Spoilers]
Outlander Season 4 sees a few more characters in the past. Does this mean Jamie and Roger will get a chance to meet? How would that meeting work out?
It’s no secret that Brianna and Roger are getting more focus in Outlander Season 4. It’s also not been kept a secret that Brianna will head through the stones. Does that mean Roger will too? Will Jamie and Roger meet?
Of course, these questions are answers you’ll get from “Drums of Autumn.” With that in mind, there are spoilers in this post from the books, just as a warning for those who haven’t read the novels yet.
The very short answer is, yes. Jamie and Roger will meet. However, there is a big storyline to play out in Outlander Season 4. It all connects to Brianna and everything that happens to her when she comes through the stones.

Many will know that Brianna is raped. I won’t spoil everything, but will just tell you that the rape comes shortly after Brianna and Roger are handfasted and they consummate their marriage. Brianna ends up pregnant and she’s not entirely sure who the father is but believes it to be her rapist’s.
So, where do Roger and Jamie come into this? Well, I’m sure you can guess how Jamie will react to learn that his daughter was raped and is now pregnant. Considering they’re in the 18th century, Brianna will be considered ruined by the events. Jamie needs to find her a husband and fast.
But Brianna doesn’t want that. Nor does she really want her father running off in search for her rapists. But he gets a name and suspects that Roger is the man who raped his daughter. Their first meeting involves Jamie beating Roger and handing him over to an Indian tribe.
That sounds like an excellent first impression, right? Hopefully, Outlander Season 4 won’t change this storyline from the books as it has a knock-on effect on events later in the whole book series. It affects Roger’s opinion of Jamie, unsurprisingly. When you’re beaten, knocked out, and handed over to the Natives for something you didn’t do, it’s not surprising to develop some negative feelings.
Jamie does eventually find out that he did wrong. He does work to get Roger back, but it’s not going to be the best first meeting and it’s one that many fans are looking forward to seeing play out because of how much detail there is and what it means for the future of the series.
