Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but it sounds like Rollo is set to return to Outlander Season 5. At least, that’s what Lauren Lyle seems to hint.

We’re scouring the internet for any teases and spoilers for Outlander Season 5. Of course, we know the book storyline but we don’t know how much of the book storyline the show will stick to. It looks like there’s one element that Lauren Lyle is hinting will be the same. It’s all about Rollo.

Throughout the week, we’ve been seeing a lot about Adso. The friendly feline keeps Claire’s surgery as sanitary as possible with his hunting skills, but there’s another animal that we just can’t forget about. Our half-wolf, half-dog cutie, Rollo.

Lyle shared an image on Instagram saying that some wolf content will be coming soon. Of course, she had a t-shirt with wolves on, and that may be what she’s referring to, but we can’t help get our hopes up at the idea of Rollo returning.

The last we saw of Rollo, he’d remained with Young Ian, who had joined the Mohawks. However, that doesn’t mean Young Ian and Rollo will remain in the north. Eventually, the two make it back to Fraser’s Ridge—and not because they didn’t like their time with the natives. There’s a bigger storyline that I won’t get into right now for those who haven’t read the books.

Just know that Rollo will return to the clan. If the show sticks to this part of the storyline, we should see Rollo at some point at the end of the fifth season.

And this certainly fits the idea of Lauren Lyle teasing Rollo’s return. The show is onto the penultimate block of filming. This could be when Rollo and Young Ian are needed. If not, the production could just be getting Rollo used to being back on the set for the final block of filming.

Either way, we’re holding out hope that Lyle is teasing our wolf-dog and not just the wolves on the t-shirt.
