This was the moment that some of the information Frank had told her started to fall into place. Eventually, it would all lead to Culloden, and we learned that this would be an eventual outcome in the series. More importantly, we’d eventually lose many of those on our screens.
How did the episode do in the ratings? We can only look at the live + same day ratings. STARZ doesn’t share the ratings of those watching via the app, so all the information is based on those watching via the channel through their cable packages.
According to TV Series Finale, the total audience figures increased by 12% from the previous episode. Apart from the series premiere, Episode 4 saw the lowest total audience of the whole season. While Episode 5 didn’t quite make the million again, a good amount of people did tune in for the premium cable network.
Unfortunately, the demo did drop by 4%. However, it’s worth pointing out again that STARZ won’t pay all that much attention to the demo figures. This is used for advertisers and STARZ doesn’t need to worry about the advertiser dollar—and never did five years ago.
In the end, the ratings held strong. They didn’t dip below the series premiere and the total audience was up. It’s clear that this was a show STARZ would want to keep on its air, which is why it renewed it after the very first episode.
