Outlander Season 1, Episode 5 put Claire on the road with the MacKenzie rent party. Here are the best moments from Rent.

Claire and the MacKenzie men went on the road in Outlander Season 1, Episode 5. We got to see more of Scotland, more of the people, and more of the tensions between English and Scots.

“Rent” is certainly an episode that can be enjoyable. The more I watch it, the more I admittedly don’t like it as much. Overall, it’s a good chance to delve into more of Scotland and the history, but I find myself disliking the characters so much!

With all that in mind, here are the best moments from Outlander Season 1, Episode 5.

5. Seeing the honor of Jeremy Foster

Just like not all Scots are as lewd and rebellious as Dougal, Rupert, Angus, and the others, not all British soldiers are as sadistic as Black Jack Randall. In this episode, we got to meet Lieutenant Jeremy Foster, who initially attempted to stand up against the MacKenzie men after hearing the shouts as Claire tried to return the goat to her original owners.

He was a smart man. Realizing that he was outnumbered, he decided to back down. However, that wasn’t the end of it. You could tell from the look in his eyes that he was going to come back with a vengeance. That happened at the very end of the episode.

Sometimes it’s easy to see the Redcoats as the enemy. Jeremy reminded us that there is honor there in some of them, which is important for later episodes (and characters).
