Move over, Rollo, there’s a new pet in town. Adso is certainly making himself comfortable in Outlander Season 5 for National Kitten Day.
There’s a new pet taking over Fraser’s Ridge in Outlander Season 5. It’s not taken him long to make himself comfortable, either. The show’s Twitter shared a rather adorable photo on National Kitten Day.
Caution: We’re entering spoilery territory for those who haven’t read Book 5 and beyond.

The fourth season was all about Rollo. We instantly fell in love with him, just like Young Ian, but he’s off with the Mohawks right now. Season 5 will see Adso join the family, a gift Jamie offers to Claire. And Adso will certainly play an important role in the life of Fraser’s Ridge. It’s because of him the vermin are kept outside of Claire’s surgery.
Right now, it looks like Adso is busy getting into the vegetables. He certainly likes to get up to some mischief, but nowhere near as much as a certain white sow. However, Adso certainly has a personality of his own and isn’t afraid to show it.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that Rollo won’t come back. In the novels, Young Ian and Rollo make their way back to Fraser’s Ridge. I won’t give the full details of why, but there’s a high chance we could see them both by the end of Season 5. This would put Adso and Rollo in the same space as each other. Will they become friends?
While we don’t get to see much of our furry friends or the filming right now, it’s fun to get the odd share. And who doesn’t love an adorable kitten?
