Will Roger head through the stones after Brianna in Outlander?

In Outlander Season 4, Episode 4, Roger realized that Brianna had come to Scotland to go to the past. Will we see him go after her soon?

Roger delivered Brianna the good news that Claire had found Jamie in Outlander Season 4, Episode 4. Little did he know that she would use that as a reason to head to the past and find her mother and birth father. Now that he does know, will he head back in time?

There are some spoilery bits from the book, but I’m going to keep them to a minimum for those who only watch the show. The spoilery bits are from research I’ve done (I’ve not read the book yet, either) and I’m actually more theorizing on the Roger we have in the show since the storyline has changed slightly.

Roger still holds a flame for Brianna

Let’s be honest, Roger is still in love with Brianna. He wouldn’t have found information about Claire if he wasn’t. This took time to do the research and would have cost him money. Even if he did want to know if Claire found Jamie, it was his love for Brianna that pushed him to get the information.

He could have just sat on the information and kept it from Brianna. But he didn’t. He called her because he loves her.

Now that he knows Brianna is heading the past, he’ll be scared for her. This is a dangerous time, especially for a woman.

Roger just wants to keep Brianna safe

There’s no doubt that Roger will head through time. Knowing that Brianna is heading to a dangerous time, he’ll want to make sure she’s safe. The best way to do that is to be her protector.

Finding out that Brianna left Boston two weeks earlier will make him realize he’s on borrowed time. He needs to get to the stones fast to find out where Brianna is. There’s no way Roger will waste much time to head to the past and save the woman he loves.

Even though he’ll likely be angry that Brianna never told him what she was doing, her safety will be more important. So, yes, we’ll definitely see him head to the past for Brianna. Chances are the storyline will differ from the books, but we’ll see him travel.
