Outlander Season 4 premiere clip: Claire and Jamie talk ruby and dinner
Claire and Jamie find themselves in a Brave New World in the Outlander Season 4 premiere. Just how are they going to finance their new adventure?
It’s easy to overlook something like money at first for the Outlander Season 4 premiere. After all, Claire and Jamie will have had some of the treasure from the Bakra’s stash since the ship ran aground with Young Ian, Fergus, and Marsali. However, they are living hand to mouth to begin with and that’s what this sneak peek from the premiere episode covers.
Released by STARZ earlier today, the sneak peek is all about Claire and Jamie. Dressed for dinner, the two talk about the beautiful ruby that Jamie has had fashioned into a necklace. It’s a simple piece of jewelry, but Claire makes a point in saying “simple is best.”

She’s right. They need to show off the ruby that they have for sale. While they may have jewels, they need the right buyer to ensure they have enough cash to book a trip home to Scotland. After all, that’s their first idea in Outlander Season 4. They need to get Young Ian back to his parents.
This is one of the more romantic and beautifully created scenes from the premiere episode. While there’s a simplicity in the ruby, that simplicity is mirrored in the scene. In one room to get ready, it’s all about the two of them and the love they have for each other. This is sure to get you ready for tomorrow’s episode.
There’s also a name you need to listen out for. Tim Downie plays Governor Tryon, who will be extremely important in Claire and Jamie’s next move.
