How will Jenny react to Brianna in Outlander Season 4?
There’s no hiding the fact that Brianna heads to the past in Outlander Season 4. Just how will Jenny take to learning she has a niece?
Outlander Season 4 will see more of Brianna and Roger. There’s no denying or hiding the fact that the two travel through the stones. They do it separately and Brianna has the chance to meet her Aunt Jenny. Just how will Jenny react to Brianna in the story?
This is going to involve some spoilers from “Drums of Autumn.” Of course, it’s not possible to say exactly how the story will go as some elements will need to be changed for the time constraints.
How does Jenny react in the book?

Of course, there’s that initial uncertainty. It takes Ellen MacKenzie Fraser’s pearls to prove that Brianna is Jamie’s daughter and his heir. However, there’s the resemblance between father and daughter (and granddaughter and grandmother) that makes Jenny realize that Brianna is her niece.
This is likely going to play out similarly in the show. While there is the inconsistency with height between show and books, the red hair is definitely there. Other features and subtle actions are also pure Jamie, especially the stubbornness!
These will play together to help Jenny realize that her niece is, well, her niece.
What will Jenny do?
In the novels, Jenny and Ian start to wonder whether Lallybroch should be passed onto Brianna. While Brianna says she doesn’t want it, the two know that rightfully it should be Jamie’s daughter’s. Jamie signed it over to Young Jamie purely to keep it in family hands after he was deemed a traitor, but now it’s possible to sign it back over.
There may be some resentment and anger in Outlander Season 4. Jenny will be angry that Claire never told her the full truth. When Jenny asked if Claire had children, she said she never had them with her second (well, technically first) husband. Jenny should have read between the lines and this is the first chance she’ll get to do it.
Show Jenny won’t likely hold any grudges against Brianna for Claire’s decisions. She may be worried that Jamie doesn’t know the full truth. However, Jenny will certainly set Brianna on the right path to find Claire and Jamie in Outlander Season 4.
