5 ways STARZ can push the Brianna and Roger promotion for Outlander Season 4
Apart from one photo and appearances at cons, Brianna and Roger have been missed out of most the Outlander Season 4 promotion. It’s time for STARZ to push the characters more and here’s how.
Brianna and Roger have had a raw deal. Despite becoming bigger roles in Outlander Season 4, the two have been missed out of the majority of promotional materials. It’s time for STARZ to pick up the promo for the two.
They’re certainly not the only two overlooked, either. Fergus has barely been in anything. Marsali has been in one main photo. Laoghaire, Jenny, and Ian have all been overlooked.
In fact, if it wasn’t for sneak peeks and spoilery photos doing the rounds, only those who had read the books would know the characters were in the season. Those who had read the book “Drums of Autumn” would even likely question whether these parts of the story were being ignored.
The difference with Brianna and Roger is that they’re main players in Outlander Season 4. There are huge storylines for both. Ron D. Moore and other showrunners have mentioned Brianna’s storyline, but Roger’s has been pretty much ignored. So, what does STARZ need to do? Here are five quick ways STARZ can push the Brianna and Roger promotion for the season.
1. Include them in a promo video

This is the quickest and easiest. They were completely ignored in the Outlander Season 4 trailer. If STARZ pushes out another, make sure the two are included in at least one clip (preferably more).
2. Put out another photo of the two
There has been one official shot of the two in the fourth season and one official behind the scenes shot of Roger. Now it’s time to get another photo of the two. Recent photos have mostly been Claire and Jamie, including the Outlander Season 4 key art.
3. Have a fun behind the scenes video
Could we get a video from behind the scenes? Maybe while the two were filming some scenes? We know they have more scenes together in the fourth season, so there would have been plenty of antics behind the scenes.
4. Give us a Brianna and Roger featurette
Many shows do featurettes in the lead up to the show. This is something STARZ did for the very first season of Outlander, with focuses on the whole Fraser family, the Highlanders, Castle Leoch and more. The featurettes were more than just Claire and Jamie and that’s something the network could do for the fourth season.
5. A sneak peek or two
As we get closer to the season and during the season, there are going to be some sneak peeks. There are lots of opportunities for Brianna and Roger sneak peeks. We could have them discussing going back in time, meeting various members of the family for the first time, or even just some time together.
