When will Sam Heughan’s Bloodshot be released?
Sam Heughan is filming Bloodshot this summer. Just when can we expect to see the big blockbuster movie?
The Spy Who Dumped Me may have only been released, but Sam Heughan is now focused on his next major movie. Starring alongside Vin Diesel, Heughan has landed a role in Bloodshot. Now fans want to know when this blockbuster comic adaptation movie will be out.
If you were hoping to see it at the end of this year or during next summer, I’m sorry to disappoint. Bloodshot has a release date of 2020. In fact, The Wrap states it will be out on February 21, 2020.

This could be good news for the Droughtlander between Outlander Seasons 5 and 6. If current estimations are right, Outlander Season 5 will premiere sometime early 2019 and Season 6 will likely be spring of 2020. This will depend on filming schedules and is just based on current filming plans and the date Season 4 is being released.
The release of Bloodshot will likely hit the middle or close to the end of Droughtlander. Think of it similar to the release of The Spy Who Dumped Me, which has come out in the hardest part of Droughtlander this year.
Production on Bloodshot has already started. Eiza Gonzales, Toby Kebbell, and Michael Sheen have also been connected to the project. This is Diesel’s first live-action superhero role and it is set to be an R-rated movie, following the success of Deadpool and Logan. Expect plenty of action, swearing, and likely nudity and sex.
So far, we don’t have a character name for Sam Heughan or many of the others connected to the project. That will hopefully come out soon, although there have already been some suggestions.
