Outlander Season 4 onto last 10 days of filming

Outlander Season 4 has just 10 days left of filming left. This is slightly longer than initially expected and will mean that there is some ferrying back and forth between conventions in July. We’d expected that filming would finish by June 30 considering the actors are in Paris this coming weekend. However, Sam Heughan confirmed 10 days left.

This is likely 10 filming days left, which will take place over the weekdays. Since the production company is American based, they will possibly take the Fourth of July off, which will mean production finishes on July 9. This is a rough guess based on the fact that the cast will need the coming weekend off and will likely take the following weekend off. If production doesn’t take Fourth of July off (since most of the actors are British and won’t celebrate it), then there’s a chance production will finish on July 6.

Fortunately, there’s only travel to factor in for the one weekend. The cast will still get time off before the full convention schedule for the summer begins and filming for other projects starts. Heughan is one of the first actors needed for other projects, as he’s had to cancel the Las Vegas con appearance between July 13 and 15.

Whether or not the production is behind is unknown, but Heughan had previously said Outlander Season4 filming would finish in June. Even so, the November 2018 start date will help, allowing plenty of time to get through the editing before the premiere date.

Caitriona Balfe previously said that there would be a seven-month break between wrapping filming for Season 4 and starting Season 5 filming. Wrapping in July suggests that filming for Outlander Season 5 begins in February.
