Is Bloodshot the reason Sam Heughan won’t be at Outlander Las Vegas con?
When Sam Heughan canceled his appearance at Outlander Las Vegas con, Creation Ents only said that it was due to scheduling. It seems the scheduling conflict is Vin Diesel movie Bloodshot.
Sam Heughan isn’t attending Outlander Las Vegas con in July. Creation Ents put up a notice on their page for the specific con to apologize to all, but never directly said why this cancellation occurred. They did say it was a scheduling conflict and now it seems the scheduling conflict is a movie.
On May 23, Deadline reported that Heughan will star in a Vin Diesel movie, Bloodshot. Named after the titular character played by Diesel, the movie is set in the Valiant Expanded Universe. So, in short, it’s going to be another superhero movie. While you may not have given the other superhero movies a look because they just weren’t Outlander, Heughan’s part in the movie may take you to theaters when it’s out.

While very little is known about Heughan’s character right now, the actor did come on Twitter to apologize to his fans for his cancellation at Outlander Las Vegas con. He’s confirmed that the filming of the movie has taken over his schedule. Press for The Spy Who Dumped Me is also one of his reasons for missing out on the convention.
However, he has just mentioned the Creation Ents con. No other con has been named in his tweet, which suggests the rest of the July filming (which is when the movie starts production) and into August aren’t going to be affected.

The cancellation wasn’t something that just happened. It seems everyone tried to make dates work but it wasn’t possible. Heughan had to put other work over the convention appearance, which is perfectly understandable for an actor. It looks like other dates were worked around.
