Brianna and Roger will gain more focus as Outlander continues. Season 5 sees their wedding in the premiere, but what do we hope happens for them?
As Outlander continues, we’re going to see more of Brianna and Roger. Season 5 will start with their wedding. That’s no surprise considering the way the fourth season ended, the storyline in “The Fiery Cross,” and the fact that they’re in the 18th century. But does that mean pure blissful happiness?

Certainly not! In fact, they’re still in for a wild ride. But we do have hopes for the couple. For Day 7 of the 25 Days of MacBree-mas, it’s time to focus on this couple and everything we hope to see in Outlander Season 5. Here are five important things many of us hope to see happen.
5. More time developing their relationship
One of the disappointments I’ve had with Outlander is the lack of time in developing Brianna and Roger’s relationship. Most of it has happened off-screen, and it’s not made this relationship as realistic as it could have been. This is certainly due to time, and the mistake in Season 3 of just stopping their storyline. However, it’s time to see some changes.
Season 5 gives the writers chance to develop the MacBree relationship more. We can see them get to know each other again, understanding everything they’ve been through and how that’s changed them as people. Then there’s the development of them as parents because that certainly changes the relationship between a couple.
