STARZ has released more images from Outlander Season 5. We get a look at a grand wedding as well as a view of Claire’s surgery.
To mark the last day of filming, STARZ has released more images from Outlander Season 5. We get a glimpse of a wedding to come, as well as Claire’s surgery and a furry friend.
Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive on the new images (that’s why that image you saw clicking on the post wasn’t one of the new ones!) and shared some details on what to expect in the upcoming episodes. What we don’t get to find out is when certain elements of the story will take place.

Let’s look at the image of the wedding first. You know whose wedding we’re speaking of, right? If you didn’t, then the looks on Claire’s and Jamie’s faces will give you an idea. They’ve had that proud look before, back in Outlander Season 3.
That time Fergus was marrying Marsali, after being officially made part of the Fraser clan. This time, it’s going to be Roger and Brianna. After everything that they went through in the fourth season, it’s only right that they get some happiness. But it’s not going to be all sunshine and rainbows.
Brianna and Roger both have issues to deal with off the back of the previous season. For Brianna, there are going to be intimacy issues after being raped by Stephen Bonnet. For Roger, there are going to be fears that he’s not adequate for Brianna as a husband in the time period.

Then there’s a look at Claire’s surgery. I know there are some discussions going on about whether it’s light enough and why the floor is stone. These are possibly going to come up in the show, but it once again reminds us that you just can’t please everyone—something Sam Heughan brought up to Entertainment Weekly when discussing his new wig.
However, there’s no denying that Claire looks confident. There are plenty of storylines to come where the surgery is involved, including surgery on both Beardsley twins. It’s going to be exciting to see some of the things she does in the surgery play out on screen.

And finally, there’s an image of the new furry friend to join the clan. This purr-fect addition will become part of the family when Jamie finds him and thinks of him as a perfect addition to Claire’s surgery. Yes, it’s all about Adso, who has been one of the most challenging aspects of filming during Season 5.
