Sam Heughan is one step closer to that all-important Sassenach Whisky launch. What’s the latest addition to the line to make the whisky complete?
Sam Heughan has a lot going on, but he’s managing his schedule well. We’re getting updates of various projects he’s involved in, whether it’s Outlander, the Clan Lands Podcast, or Sassenach Whisky. The latest update is about the last of those three current projects.
Just recently, Heughan released the name of his line of whisky, and it’s very Outlander-ish. We don’t have a release date yet, but he is getting closer to it. The latest update shows us just where he’s up to with the product launch.

In an Instagram post, Sam Heughan shared the toppers for the bottles. While this is just a small part of the process, it’s an essential part. And we can’t help but love the toppers for the Sassenach Whisky line.
Most whisky companies now opt for screw-on bottle tops. They’re easy to use, sure, but there’s something special about bottles with corks. Sam’s line of whisky will have cork stoppers, but you’re not going to need a corkscrew to get in and you will be able to put it back on when you’re finished.
The cork is attached to a beautiful Sassenach Whisky logo’d top. The top will make it possible to pull the cork out and push it back in.

The release date of the whisky isn’t known yet. Considering the work is on the stoppers right now, it sounds like it’s close to completion. Maybe it will be out in time for the Outlander Season 5 premiere. It will be nice to raise a glass to see the show back on the air, right?
