3 top takeaways from the Outlander Season 5 behind-the-scenes image
Matt B. Roberts shared a behind-the-scenes image from Outlander Season 5 filming. What can we take away from the snapshot of what’s to come?
Does anyone else over analyze every bit of information or a glimpse of Outlander Season 5 filming? Just me? I’m sure not!
Matt B. Roberts shared a behind-the-scenes image of filming. It was only a rehearsal of a scene, but there are a few things to take away from this quick image. Here’s a look at the top elements.
It looks like Brianna and Roger

It’s hard to make out because of the lighting, but it looks like Brianna and Roger are going to be in this scene. Are they reading some sort of letter? Possibly, but this could also be the script in Sophie Skelton’s hands, just clarifying something that’s happening within the scene.
Claire and Jamie are nowhere to be scene in this image. It suggests that we’re going to get more of Bree and Roger together, which will certainly help develop their relationship.
The two are in the cabin
It looks like the two are in the cabin and that cabin has had some furniture moved around. This makes sense. We know that the Big House is part of Outlander Season 5, which is where Claire and Jamie will be moving to. The cabin is then available for Brianna and Roger to live in.
They’ll want to make it their own space.
Of course, instead of the cabin, this could be a room in some inn around Wilmington or another area if they need to stay overnight somewhere. If the show is taking the two back to Scotland, they could also be staying there.
It looks 18th century
Looking at the setting of the building and the materials on the bed, it looks like the two are in the 18th century still. I don’t see any electrical lighting to suggest that this could be in the 1970s.
On top of that, Brianna’s hair is still curly. If she was back in her own time, I get the feeling she’d straighten her hair to fit in with everyone else. Instead, it looks like she’s making do with her curls because of the lack of straightening tools around.
There isn’t too much to take away from the behind-the-scenes image. However, this is an exciting photo that shows us just a glimpse of filming. What do you take away from it?
