Outlander’s Colin McFarlane fans out just like the rest of us and it’s awesome!
Sometimes it can be easy to forget that celebrities are just like the rest of us. Colin McFarlane puts a smile on our faces with a selfie with a legend.
There are times that we can forget that celebrities are just like the rest of us. They have looked up to actors, musicians, and other celebrities too. Outlander Colin McFarlane had the chance to remind us of that when he got a selfie with the legend that is Sir Billy Connolly.
McFarlane shared that he was on his way to filming (can we assume Outlander Season 5?) and he spotted the Scottish comedian. Naturally, he had to ask for a selfie and it turns out that Connolly is a fan of the series. Awesome, right?

Well, when you look further, there’s even more that reminds us he’s just like the rest of us. It turns out he’s met Connolly before but didn’t have the courage to ask for a photograph.
Say what? An actor not having the courage to ask for a photo? And that is the moment that I smiled. Not because I found it funny but because it reminded me that this guy is just like all of us. Colin McFarlane is kind, sweet, honest, and a brilliant actor to boot.
What’s even better is that the rest of the Outlander cast were just a little bit jealous of Colin McFarlane. Caitriona Balfe, Kyle Rees, and Tim Downie all commented on the tweet to say just how awesome both Connolly and McFarlane are. It’s an awesome Sassenach family.

It’s easy to forget that celebrities are people too. There will be those who complain that they didn’t stop for photos or didn’t sign an autograph in the street. People complain when they have to take time off from planned events either because they have to put themselves or their careers first like many of us would in the same position. Let’s remember they’re people (and often fans) too!
Also, it’s so much fun to see this side of actors. We get to see them on another level, excited about many of the things we get excited about when meeting them!
