Droughtlander: Poldark Season 4 on Amazon Prime will help with the break

There’s nothing worse than Droughtlander. Okay, well, maybe Droughtlander when there’s no filming at all is worse than the current Droughtlander. At least, right now we have some spoilery tidbits and reveals being shared on social media.
But you’re likely looking for a way to get through this Outlander break. Amazon Prime has you covered right now. Poldark Season 4 has dropped on the streaming service. If you haven’t seen the first three seasons yet, they are also on there to make sure you get completely caught up.

Set in the 18th century, Aidan Turner plays Capt. Ross Poldark. After the American Revolutionary War, he returns to his home in Cornwall to find out that his father has died and the woman he loved deeply has married someone else. This focuses on the life in Cornwall after the colonies were lost in the Revolutionary War, including the need to make changes to the government.
In the fourth season, Prime Minister Pitt has called for a General Election, which means the country is thrown into uncertainty. The Truro MP, George Warleggan, isn’t necessarily doing the best for Cornwall and he has a running opponent. The problem is that opponent, Hugh, has feelings for Poldark’s wife, Demelza, and Poldark feels threatened.
All eight episodes of the season are streaming. The great news is there is a fifth season, which will be on PBS Masterpiece later this year.
