Diana Gabaldon shares some chapter titles for Outlander Book 9
If you want a tease of what to expect in Outlander Book 9 without reading Daily Lines snippets, Diana Gabaldon has a treat. She’s shared the chapter titles for the start of the book.
Diana Gabaldon shared a Daily Lines post with a twist. Rather than a snippet of Outlander Book 9, titled “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone,” she shared an update on where she is with the writing. She’s getting closer to finishing and now has some of the chapter titles to share.
This is perfect for those who don’t like any sort of spoiler. The chapters give virtually nothing away, a little like the titles of episodes. Once you read the chapters, that’s when you’re likely to understand where the titles have come from.
Of course, these chapters could change. Diana Gabaldon makes that clear in her Outlander Book 9 update. However, there’s a chance that some of the chapter titles will remain. You can check out the full Facebook post from Diana Gabaldon before looking at the titles.

Without knowing the storyline for the storyline, it’s hard to guess some of the sections of the book. However, there is one that sticks out quite a bit. Chapter 1 is titled “The MacKenzies are Here” and likely connects to the end of the last book.
Spoilers for those who haven’t read “Written in My Own Hearts Blood” start from this point. I just wanted to warn you!
In the final scenes of the last book, a silhouette of a family was seen on Fraser’s Ridge. While it wasn’t confirmed, it’s taken that Roger and Brianna with their children are back. And it certainly looks like that is going to be the case. Expect the first part of the book to be about the family settling against on the Ridge after being back and forth through the stones (and some of them to various timelines!)
Another chapter that stands out is “Home is the Hunter, Home from the Hill.” Many will know that Ian’s wife’s maiden name is Hunter. At the end of the last books, she gave birth to Ian’s child and this is going to come up in Outlander Book 9. This chapter certainly seems to focus on this growing family.
