Diana Gabaldon Book 9 update: Where is the author on Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone

Diana Gabaldon is currently towards the end of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. She’s shared an update on exactly where she is with Outlander Book 9.

While we’re in the middle of Dorughtlander, all eyes are on where Diana Gabaldon is with Outlander Book 9. We know it should be released at some point this year, but when exactly will that be? While she can’t share that, Gabaldon has given an update as to where she is in the writing process with “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.”

Many will know that Gabaldon never sits down and just starts writing from start to end. She’ll work with snippets of the book, jumping in between storylines and timelines, depending on where her ideas flow. After that, she needs to start piecing the elements together.

Most of the snippets will piece together seamlessly. There are going to be others that need more work to bridge together. While Diana Gabaldon still has some writing to do, she is now at the stage of piecing everything together so that it flows as one book. This is excellent news, as it means she’s towards the end of the process for Outlander Book 9.

This also connects back to something she’d previously shared. Gabaldon replied to a fan asking about the lack of Daily Lines recently and it is indeed because she’s close to finishing the book. The snippets now will contain a lot of plot spoilers so it’s best to keep them out of her Daily Lines. After all, nobody wants definite spoilers — most of us don’t mind teases and sneak peeks but not major plot spoilers of what’s to come.
