Outlander Season 4, Episode 6 images: Lord John Grey returns

While Murtagh’s return was kept as a happy surprise, the trailer for Outlander Season 4, Episode 6 made it clear Lord John Grey is back. The images for the episode confirm that, giving us a hint at the reunion.

It’s time for another familiar face to return in Outlander Season 4, Episode 6. Unlike Murtagh’s happy return, Lord John Grey’s hasn’t been kept a surprise. We got to see it in the promo and now we get to see it in the images.

This week’s episode brings us Willie’s return too, although there are no photos of that. After all, it’s Lord John Grey who has a bigger history with Jamie, Claire, and even Murtagh. All three will remember him for one reason or another.

For Murtagh, it’s Ardsmuir Prison. For Claire, it’s as the Governor of Jamaica. For Jamie, well, there’s a long, complicated, but adorable history between them. John became the man Jamie could trust with the secret about Willie. He became the one that looked out for Jamie and kept him safe when everyone else would have treated him as just another Jacobite; in fact, the most dangerous Jacobite.

There’s a beautiful image of John and Jamie standing opposite each other. They are both smiling, happy that they have come across each other. When they were in Jamaica, they likely thought they’d never see each other again.

As for Claire, well…there are no images of her and John together, but their relationship is strained. Both are jealous of each other because of their attractions to Jamie. I’ve never understood Claire’s jealousy to be honest, but I just roll with it for now. Just how will she react to John being back, meeting Willie (knowing full-well who he is), and having to treat John for the measles?

With all that going on, we can’t forget that Jamie and Willie will head out into Cherokee land and they’re definitely not welcome. There are a couple of images of the warriors that the two will run into along the way.
