Will Brianna learn how Claire and Jamie die in Outlander?
During Outlander Season 4, Episode 4, Roger learned Claire and Jamie’s fate. Will he ever get to tell Brianna?
Outlander Season 4, Episode 4 delivered the blow of how Claire and Jamie would die. Fiona’s grandmother, Mrs. Graham, had found an obituary from the 1770s. It’s not clear when exactly, but now Roger has learned the Frasers’ fates. Now the question is whether Brianna will learn.
Just a word of warning, there are book spoilers in this post. I’ll try to keep them to a minimum.
Due to time constraints, this is certainly a storyline that is being adapted for the sake of the show. “Drums of Autumn” readers know that Brianna does eventually find out. It’s actually finding out that leads to her heading through the stones.

That’s a part that has changed in the series. When Brianna learned that Claire had found Jamie, she knew she had to head through the stones. There was nothing for it. Knowing her mother has found Jamie means she has a chance of meeting her birth father.
But with Brianna heading through the stones before learning about the obituary, is there a chance she’ll never find out at all? After all, it’s not like she can read a news clipping from the 1770s while in 1768.

The only way she’ll be able to find out now is by Roger heading through the stones after her. If she hasn’t made it through the stones yet, he could reach her and tell her the truth right away before she goes through the stones.
Either way, the way Brianna learns about the stones has to be different and it could lead to a different storyline for the two. This could mend the bridge completely between them, as Brianna realizes that Roger is willing to tell her the truth even when it’s a heartbreaking truth.
