Happy birthday, Brianna: Our hopes in Outlander Season 4

Brianna Randall Fraser is a fiery young woman just starting out her adult life. To celebrate the character’s 70th birthday, it’s time to look ahead at what we can hope in Outlander Season 4.

Brianna Randall Fraser turns 70 today in Outlander history. Born on Nov. 23, 1948, she’s grown into a beautiful young woman in the books and the show is only just getting started with her. There’s so much to come and to celebrate her birthday, it’s time to look ahead at the hopes for Brianna in Outlander Season 4.

It’s not going to be an easy season for the only living daughter of Jamie and Claire Fraser. Without giving away too many spoilers for those who haven’t read the books yet, the last episode with Roger was not the only heartbreak she’ll witness throughout the season.

However, what I do hope we’ll see is her character grow. In Season 4, she’s in her early 20s. Effectively orphaned, she’s left to navigate the big wide world alone and it’s not going to be easy. This is a time when women started gaining more freedom and rights and Brianna is trying to find a footing.

We’ve seen her try to figure out what she wants to do with her life. During “The False Bride,” we heard she was at MIT studying engineering, which is very different to the history she studied at Harvard when Frank was alive. As she finally found her calling?

Of course, there’s hope she’ll be reunited with her family. Many know that she will travel through the stones eventually, but what will she find on the other side? What type of welcoming will she receive? I will reshare this post about the most anticipated moments between Brianna and a certain Highland warrior.

Then there’s Roger. We can’t forget her relationship with him. It’s not going to be easy, but there’s hope the two will find their way back to each other in Season 4.
