Outlander Season 4: Brianna’s meeting with a certain someone will be different

Outlander Season 4 hasn’t been shy of adapting the books. A certain meeting with Brianna is going to change, but who will that meeting be with?

There have been plenty of changes over the last few episodes of Outlander Season 4. Ron D. Moore had previously said that some of the timeline from “Drums of Autumn” would change but the storylines would look similar. It sounds like the show isn’t quite ready to stop changing things either.

It’s no secret that Brianna is going to head through the stones. Of course, STARZ doesn’t want to promote that just yet, but those who have read the books or kept up with groups know what is about to happen. However, there are going to be a few changes.

During a TVLine spoilery tidbit, one fan asked when Brianna would step through the stones. This has already been answered in a way, as Michael Ausiello made it clear that a “certain someone” wouldn’t travel before Thanksgiving. This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend, so we may just see some time travel soon.

When it does happen (because we know it’s a when based on spoilery photos during filming), there’s a meeting that won’t be quite the same as in the books. It’s just not clear which meeting this will be. There are a couple that stand out for Outlander Season 4: Stephen Bonnet or Jamie Fraser.

Changing the books slightly isn’t that surprising. While there are some complaints that book storylines change, changes need to happen for time and cost purposes. The writers will also want to create some sort of anticipation for the book fans. Knowing how the whole storyline plays out could mean some aren’t as engaged with the show and the show wants to create some element of suspense and question.

Regardless of whether you like changes or not, they’re happening. One of those is going to be with Brianna’s trip through the stones and meeting a certain person. Just who will it be?
