Who’s shooting with Jamie in the Outlander Season 4 promo?
Caught the Outlander Season 4 promo yet? Good, then you’ll know there’s a moment someone is out shooting with Jamie. Just who is this?
The Outlander Season 4 promo couldn’t have come at a better time. We needed something to get us out of a slump in Droughtlander, right? Fans needed just a hint of the things Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, and others had been filming for the last 10 months or so. We finally got a look with a lot of questions.
Caution: There are spoilers in this from “Drums of Autumn.”
One of the biggest questions involves that scene when Jamie is out shooting. He’s with someone else and now fans want to know who is was. It certainly wasn’t Claire!
Could it be Brianna?

We know she eventually goes through the stones and there is a moment when the two go out shooting. Jamie commends Brianna on her skills, and Brianna comments that Frank had taught her. It’s an important moment that shows Jamie isn’t completely jealous of the time Frank spent with Brianna growing up; of the time he missed out on. There’s a little but not too much that puts a dampener on the whole moment.
However, it doesn’t look like Brianna. It could be someone Jamie meets along the way in the Colonies, but this was worthy enough to put in the Outlander Season 4 promo. It must be something special.
Could it be Willie?
Jamie’s son Willie does show up again in Outlander Season 4. Lord John Grey shows up during “Drums of Autumn.” Isabel has died and now he’s looking after his nephew alone. This could change in Outlander Season 4, as Grey mentioned in Jamaica last season that his wife is still alive and with Willie in England still.
We could see the reason Willie comes to the Colonies to be with Grey. Does Lord John head to England to retrieve his nephew after Isabel’s death?
It’s likely to be Willie considering the focus. Jamie will want to spend time with his son, even though Willie has no idea that Jamie is his father. And it wouldn’t be surprising if Willie wanted to spend time with Jamie, considering he was close to “Mac” back at Helwater. Shooting is the perfect bonding time for the Colonies.
