#MCM: Why we fell in love with Fergus in Outlander Season 3
Young Fergus was cute, but we fell in love with Adult Fergus in Outlander Season 3. As it’s #ManCrushMonday, it’s time to look at why many of us wanted to be Marsali.
While there are certainly many fans who would like a Jamie Fraser in their lives, others want Fergus. Adult Fergus captured hearts in Outlander Season 3. I’m using this #ManCrushMonday as a chance to look at what the older version of this character did that made us want him in our lives so much.
This isn’t just about romance either. He’s a sweet friend and confidant, which makes him someone who you just want to be around and I can’t wait to see him in Season 4.
He would do anything for family

Fergus was willing to start a mutiny for the sake of Jamie. After all, he wanted Jamie and Claire to be reunited again when they both found themselves on separate ships. That didn’t stop him from being worried.
Had Marsali not been around, Fergus would have likely followed through with the hair-brained scheme Jamie had going. However, Marsali gave him something else to think about; someone else to care about. He would do anything for his family to keep them safe, and that included finding a way to get Jamie out from below deck without leading a mutiny.
He followed his heart
Fergus wasn’t ashamed of sleeping with as many women as possible. He even bragged about his nights with Young Ian. However, it was clear that he was one who would be a romantic with a partner. That partner was Marsali. The minute she came into his life, he only had eyes for her.
He followed his heart. While it wasn’t the brightest idea at the time to bring her on the ship, everything fell into place. She was a necessary part of his journey.
