It’s been a week since we heard that Outlander would be at New York Comic Con 2018 instead of San Diego. Now it’s time to look at what we want to see from the appearance.

Last week, Starz announced that Outlander wouldn’t appear at San Diego Comic Con 2018. Instead, the cast would attend New York Comic Con for the first time. We’ve had a lot of time to think about what we’d like to see from the appearance. Here are the wishes for the series.

Considering how quiet Starz can be with promos and news, it’s easy to assume that we’ll have very little information by the NYCC appearance. Starz could wait until this point to give all the important details for Outlander Season 4, so this is assuming we’ll have nothing but one more teaser for the season before October.

A premiere date

More from Opinion

The most important thing we need from the appearance is a premiere date. It is possible that Starz will announce this before the appearance. After all, Power Season 5’s premiere date has been set for months and that begins in two weeks. We could get an Outlander Season 4 premiere date in August/September but if not, the premiere date should be released at New York Comic Con 2018.

An Outlander Season 4 promo

There’s a chance we’ll get another teaser in the summer, but Starz has been quiet with information. There’s still plenty of casting news to come out, which could replace promos and teasers until the NYCC 2018 appearance.

With that in mind, there’s hope that the official Outlander Season 4 promo is released. A month before the release of the season definitely makes sense, especially at a major event like NYCC 2018.

A teaser for the season

If we’ve already had a promo by this point, then we’ll hopefully get another teaser. We’ve had teasers of Claire and Jamie so far. Maybe we’ll get one of the whole family at NYCC 2018.

This is a time for exclusive teasers. Even shows that are nowhere near their premiere date release teasers, such as The Man in the High Castle.

Delve behind the scenes

Something that would be interesting is to see a look behind the scenes. Maybe this would be the perfect time to show us a snippet of what it was like turning Scotland into North Carolina and how they had to film in the snow and make it look like the middle of summer!

We’ll hopefully get a panel where the cast get to talk about what it was like to film. The panel should also give a few teases for the season to come.

The premiere of the premiere

At San Diego Comic Con 2017, fans had the chance to watch the Outlander Season 3 premiere exclusively. Is it possible Starz will do the same with the Season 4 premiere at Outlander Season 4? That would be amazing, although it’s not very common that networks opt to do something like this. It could also only be for trusted members of the press to allow for pre-season teases and promotional content to ensure all spoilers are left for after the worldwide release.
