Who will Sam Heughan play in Bloodshot?
Sam Heughan is confirmed to star in Bloodshot but few other details are known. Is Peter Stanchek going to be his character or could he be Corporal Harlan Shifflet
Outlander fans are excited to see Sam Heughan in another movie, especially a Vin Diesel one. He’ll start production on Bloodshot in July, but so far a lot of details are unknown. One of those details is who Heughan will play in the Valiant Entertainment comic. While it’s titled Bloodshot, there is the likelihood that Harbingers will be used in the movie and that could mean Peter Stanchek is Heughan’s character.
However, it’s certainly more likely that he will play Corporal Harlan Shifflet. Here’s a look at the full details to get an idea as to why.

Peter Stanchek has a relatively large role in the comics. He has a number of abilities, although has developed over the years. In the more recent comics, he has been much darker and that is the type of role Heughan could portray well. After all, we’ve seen darker sides to Jamie over the years. Heughan can certainly act.
Peter also has a problem with authority. He has a habit of getting into altercations, which would certainly suit Heughan after his time playing Jamie.
There’s one major problem for this character: he’s a teenager in the comics. It would seem very unlikely that the movie.

Could he be Corporal Harlan Shifflet?
TheWrap reports that Heughan will take on the role of Corporal Harlan Shifflet, which is certainly more plausible. Even the description of the character screams Harlan “So Long” Shifflet. He’s described as a “large physical specimen of pure male ego.” Wouldn’t this describe Jamie in a way? We all know how amazing Heughan looks and his build works for a military character.

All that matters right now is that Heughan is getting the chance at being in a huge blockbuster movie. This means his skills are finally being recognized by The Powers That Be. Now, just as long as we don’t lose him as Jamie!
