Is the convention schedule a clue when Outlander Season 4 filming ends?

There’s very little news about Outlander Season 4, but there may be a hint for the end of filming.

It’s a case of looking for clues for Outlander Season 4. While many fans in Scotland have had the chance to snap photos, very little news about the upcoming season has been shared. This includes the ending of filming. However, there may be a clue to when filming will wrap.

The convention schedule may give many fans an idea. This summer will be hectic for Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, as they promote the hell out of Season 4. Their first convention appearance is currently set to be June 30-July 2 in Paris.

Considering the nature of conventions, it’s unlikely that this would be set for the middle of filming. Despite Paris only being 1-2 hours away by plane from most Scottish airports, a full weekend out of filming could cause problems and disruption. After all, they’re the main stars! The only way this could work is if there are a lot of scenes without either of them, meaning there would be more focus on Brianna and Roger, Fergus and Marsali, and Young Ian.

It would be easier for filming to have come to an end before conventions.

Plus, this would also give the editing room time to make a start on the season as a whole. Wrapping filming in July would allow for plenty of time to get the bulk of the work done by September. Should refilming be needed, then there is time for that around the convention schedule.

So, the convention schedule certainly looks like a good clue. This would also help to hint at the idea of an early to mid-September premiere date for Season 4.
