Sasnak City: Why the Meet and Greets are definitely worth getting
There’s a lot going on at Sasnak City. If 2020 is going to be your first time, you’ll want to know more about aspects. The Meet and Greets are worth it.
A lot happens at a convention, whatever the fandom. Despite being a small Outlander convention, Sasnak City gets hectic in a great way. There’s lots happening at the same time, whatever ticket you get. If you’re looking at the 2020 convention already, you’ll want to make sure you’re ready with your extras and the Meet and Greets should be part of it.
I’m not allowed to share anything that was said in the Meet and Greets, and that’s what makes them so great. They’re excellent chances to get to know the cast members in a better way. Some of the stars will share things about their personal lives that they wouldn’t usually offer up to any press, giving you a chance to get to know them and their family members.
Even if you just get one Meet and Greet during your time, you won’t regret it. You can pick and choose your favorite actors.

The setting is relatively intimate, with just 10 Outlander fans in the room. You get 30 minutes to ask the questions you want (of course, some topics are off-limits although the talent is allowed to bring it up if they want) and it’s in a very relaxed, private setting. In some cases, the Meet and Greets happen on the stage behind the curtain. In others, they’re in one of the meeting rooms. It all depends on everything else that is happening at the same time.
What if the Meet and Greets clash? Well, they don’t tend to clash with each other. They may clash with some photo or auto ops. But don’t worry about completely missing out. Gina and her team will make sure you get everything that you’ve paid for. There were many cases where Meet and Greet members were hurried through the front of the line to make sure they didn’t miss out on the Meet and Greets, and the Meet and Greets wouldn’t start until all 10 attendees were there.
Meet and Greets are open to everyone at Sasnak City. You purchase them in advance, so you know what you’re getting before you’re there. The ticket for your Meet and Greet will be in your package when you arrive at registration.
What if your Meet and Greet is on a day that you’re not attending? That, sadly, can happen due to the way the schedule works out. It’s something to talk to Gina and her team of volunteers about because Gina will do everything in her power to make sure you get something. In some cases, it was asking the actor/actress if they would take time out of their break to meet the fans that couldn’t be there on the day. And, yes, the actors will accommodate because they want you to have a great time! They want to meet the fans!
At the end of the Meet and Greet, there’s a chance to get a selfie. And in the majority of cases, the actors will take the selfies or one of the volunteers will do it for you. When I got one with Cesar Domboy, he looked through the selfies to make sure there was one that wasn’t blurry to ensure we got a good one. So sweet!
The Meet and Greets certainly make Sasnak City special. They’re open to all, regardless of ticket level, and you’re all treated in the same way within the room. There is no hierarchy when it comes to these sessions.
