Will STARZ give us an Outlander preview before Dublin Murders premiere?
Dublin Murders is the latest STARZ original coming to the premium cable network. Will STARZ offer an Outlander preview ahead of the release?
The latest STARZ original series heading our way is Dublin Murders. With many new shows, STARZ often gives a preview of some of its highest-rated shows. Will we get a preview of Outlander Season 5 before the Dublin Murders premiere?
Giving a preview of one of the highest-rated shows makes sense. Fans of that show will tune in for the preview and are then more likely to stick around for the start of the new series. Primetime networks tend to hold off until one of the commercials, to encourage fans of the older show to stay tuned throughout, but STARZ doesn’t do commercials.

Before The Spanish Princess, there was a quick preview of behind the scenes on Outlander Season 5. However, the show has been filming since April and now has plenty of footage that it could share ahead of Dublin Murders premiering.
It’s hard to say yes or no right now. It’s highly possible but not guaranteed that we’ll get a small preview. The newer series premieres on Nov. 10, which is a month after the Outlander panel at New York Comic-Con 2019. There’s a bigger chance of getting the preview at NYCC, but a second one could be released a month later. Or maybe we get a trailer first and then a sneak peek?
Is there any point in using an Outlander preview for the newest original? This isn’t solely a STARZ original. It’s a BBC drama, too. There’s not as much hope riding on just the one platform for it to succeed. However, anything small helps, right?
Plus, Outlander makes the most sense to promote ahead of Dublin Murders. Both are UK-set shows, with British cast members, and some sense of drama within. Dublin Murders will likely be on the gorier side with the focus on a child murderer, but we’ve all sat through “Wentworth Prison” and “To Ransom a Man’s Soul” at least once and know that our show can get dark.
