Outlander’s Jamie Fraser defeats Game of Thrones character in Saturn Awards poll
The Saturn Awards wanted to know who fans thought should win between Outlander’s Jamie Fraser and Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow. The result wasn’t surprising.
When Outlander‘s Jamie Fraser is put up against Game of Thrones‘ Jon Snow, who do you think should win? The answer won’t be surprising among Sassenachs and it’s clear everyone was out in force for the Saturn Awards poll. Despite Game of Thrones having a larger fan base, the Obsassenachs are clearly more passionate.
Or maybe it’s just the fact that Jamie really is better than Jon. After all, Jamie and Claire have way more chemistry than Jon and Danaerys ever had. And we know Sam Heughan is one of the greatest actors around—sorely overlooked when it comes to the major awards.
When it came to the Saturn Awards poll last week, it wasn’t surprising to see that Jamie Fraser won with 86% of the votes. At one point, the voting was up to 94% in Jamie’s favor, so it looks like Jon Snow fans realized they needed to do something but it was too little, too late.

With Jamie Fraser going through to the next round, he’s now up against Star Wars‘ Han Solo. Again, this is our fandom up against a loud and proud fandom, and yet it’s Jamie Fraser who is currently winning. Should it be that surprising considering how much the fans love JAMMF?
At the time of writing this, Jamie has 94% of the vote. It’s going to take a lot for Han Solo to win, especially when there are just a few hours left to vote!

In case you’re wondering, Claire Fraser is also in a round against a Star Wars character. It’s our leading lady up against R2D2. As cute and useful as R2D2 is, there’s no doubt that our doctor will gain the votes. She’s already well ahead like her husband.
The way that the voting is going, Jamie and Claire will be up against each other in the penultimate round of voting. Who will win when it comes to the two of them?
