Outlander Season 5 will premiere in February. Naturally, you want to know the likely length of the next Droughtlander. When will the finale likely air?
I know some of you will likely think me premature for looking at this. Looking at when the Outlander Season 5 finale will likely air suggests that I’m wishing the season away. That’s certainly not the case!
I’m actually trying to plan for the next Droughtlander, get prepared in case it’s as long as this one! That means knowing when the finale will air, which is easier to project now that we have the fifth season premiere date.

We know that Season 5 will premiere on Feb. 16, 2020. Considering this date, there’s not likely any reason to take a week off here or there. The premiere is after the Super Bowl and after the Oscars (not that I think STARZ would necessarily worry about these considering it relies on subscribers and not live viewers).
The only weekend that could potentially see a week’s break would be Easter weekend. However, again, I’m not sure that STARZ will worry too much about that.
With a 12-episode season, we’re looking at either May 3 or May 10 as a finale date. The latter would be if STARZ does decide to take a break for a week at Easter. It’s worth working with the earlier date. This will get you ready for Droughtlander and if we have another week of the series, then that’s an exciting surprise.
The great news is that Season 6 filming can take place off the back of Season 5. That means we should have such a long Droughtlander, but plan for 12-14 months just in case!
