Outlander will take to the stage at New York Comic-Con 2019
If you’re heading to New York Comic-Con 2019, look out for everything Outlander. STARZ has announced the show will take to the stage.
Still on the fence about attending New York Comic-Con 2019? This may sway you. Outlander is taking to the stage at the fall convention.
It’s something I speculated after hearing that the show wouldn’t be at San Diego Comic-Con. NYCC is growing in popularity and importance and is better suited for timing of promotion for Season 5. We know for definite that the season won’t premiere until early 2020, so starting promotion in October makes a lot more sense than in July.

STARZ made the announcement on Twitter. There was no confirmation as of who would be taking to the stage, but we can likely expect a similar lineup as NYCC 2018. If Diana Gabaldon isn’t invited right away, we may want to avoid jumping to conclusions, as she became a surprise guest for the panel last year!
While making the announcement about the show heading to the fall convention, there was also exciting news for one lucky fan. There’s a fan art competition and the winner will get to head to the panel too. That lucky fan will also have their art featured at the talent signing, and get the chance to get it signed by the entire cast.
How cool is that? If I was any good at artwork, I’d enter, but alas, I’m better at writing than I am drawing. But it’s still cool.

The competition also hints that there will actually be a signing this year. At NYCC 2018, many fans were disappointed to hear that the stars weren’t doing a signing at any point during the con. They didn’t even have time to sign anything as they left the panel for their hotel rooms. It was a hectic event and hopefully, NYCC will be a little more organized with the panel this time!
There isn’t a day for the panel yet. We’ll have to wait and see closer to the event for any details.
