Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish join forces for the Clan Lands Podcast
Looking for something to help you get through Droughtlander? Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish will soon have something. The Clan Lands Podcast is coming.
Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have been two of our favorite Outlander actors from the very first episode. It’s not been the same without them sharing screen time since the Season 2 finale. Now it’s time to get them together but this time in podcast form. They’re joining forces for the Clan Lands Podcast.
The two announced their new venture during SDCC 2019 weekend, even though Heughan wasn’t there. (McTavish was there for the Preacher panel). It was exciting news for fans of Outlander, especially learning more about what this podcast will include.

One of the things Outlander has done is given many fans a new interest in Scottish history. Diana Gabaldon’s research into the clans, the life in the Highlands, and before and after Culloden has been deep, but there’s still so much more to learn. This is something Clan Lands Podcast will delve further into.
Right now, there’s very little shared about the podcast. McTavish shared on Twitter that it would delve into the history of the clans and Scotland. We’ll learn more about the landscape, the country, and much more. You can follow the official Clan Lands Podcast on Twitter already.
When is it coming? That’s not clear yet. All we know is that it’s “coming soon.” We also don’t know where the Clan Lands Podcast will be available, although lookout for the likes of iTunes, Stitcher, and other major podcast platforms.
Will this affect Outlander Season 5 filming? More than likely not. The benefit of podcasting is that it can be done on the go. It can also be worked around filming schedules relatively easily, allowing Heughan and McTavish to bulk record and then have someone else do the editing and uploading.
This is another chance to delve into all things Scottish. Are you ready?
