The Spy Who Dumped Me is now on Amazon Prime Video. Still on the fence about watching it during Droughtlander? Here’s why every Outlander fan should watch it at least once.

Last summer, Sam Heughan’s movie, The Spy Who Dumped Me, was finally released in theaters. Now it’s made it to Amazon Prime Video, making it accessible to more Outlander fans. You may still be on the fence about watching it, but it could be the best thing during Droughtlander.

This isn’t like Outlander at all, and sometimes that makes it a great alternative. You can step out of the world of Claire and Jamie, and enjoy a movie that is purely for entertainment. There’s no drama — except for the humorous drama that the lead characters find themselves in — and it’s all about pure enjoyment.

If you’re still not sure, here are five reasons The Spy Who Dumped Me could be perfect for Outlander fans during Droughtlander.

5. A chance to see Sam Heughan in another role

We know Sam as Jamie Fraser, but what about as other characters? Sometimes, it’s hard to see an actor as someone else. Difficult to believe that Sam could play another role. And that’s why it’s worth watching other movies and TV shows your favorite actors are in.

In The Spy Who Dumped Me, we get a modern-day character. So, you can step out of the 18th-century universe and see Sam with cell phones, using computers, and driving cars. Oh, if Jamie could see him now!

He also plays a completely different role. Get the goodness of Jamie out of your mind. While Sam does play a good guy, he’s not always the most likable and that’s the fun in it.
