5 thoughts while rewatching Outlander Season 1, Episode 15
It’s into some of the most difficult episodes of Outlander to rewatch — but also some of the most well-acted. Here are my thoughts while rewatching Outlander Season 1, Episode 15.
I’m not the first to admit that Outlander Season 1, Episode 15 is one of the most difficult episodes of the series to watch. There are many Sassenachs who can’t watch it after the first viewing and some don’t even make it through the first. It certainly was a shock to the system the first time around, not expecting it and having no idea about this storyline as a show-first fan.

In fact, one of my first comments to my husband while we watched it was, “well, that escalated quickly.” And that’s still certainly a thought I have while rewatching. We’ll get into that as we start my five thoughts while rewatching “Wentworth.”
5. The quick escalation
I often can’t get over just how quickly it goes from the storyline of Episodes 12-14 and jumps into the horrific elements of “Wentworth.” Of course, on the first watch you don’t get the sense that it’s going to even turn into what it becomes.
It looks like it’s going to be a matter of saving Jamie from his execution. It becomes a matter of saving him from himself after the horrific torture and abuse he goes through. This isn’t easy viewing but it is real and the acting is so on-point that it makes you feel for Jamie (and even Claire).
