Entertainment Weekly got to share a sneak peek at the gag reel, which focuses on all things animals. It starts with Sam Heughan talking about a badger and moves onto the funny things the animal actors, especially Rollo, got up to. You just knew that the animals would be worse than humans — but they’re also the most adorable while doing it.
Anyone who has a pet dog will know just how stubborn they can be. Rollo is most definitely my favorite of them all, especially the moment that Young Ian leaves Fraser’s Ridge and tells Rollo to follow him. John Bell and Caitriona Balfe try to remain in character, but Rollo just heads off in completely the opposite direction. What has he seen on the other side of the cameras?
There are also a few problems with hats and animals — and they’re not eating them like the sow does. You’ll want to check out the gag reel.
As well as the full gag reel, you’ll get the four Outlander Untold scenes that were specifically made for the show, the deleted and extended scenes from the episodes, and much more. Those who get the Collector’s Edition will also get the soundtrack and an excerpt from “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.”
