Outlander Season 4: Claire’s #1 moment from the whole season
For #WCW today, I’m looking at the #1 moment from Claire Fraser in Outlander Season 4. This is the one that stood out for me.
Outlander Season 4 certainly had some important and well-acted moments. Claire Fraser had some major moments throughout, including reuniting with Brianna and dealing with the attack from Bonnet in the premiere. However, for #WCW, I’m going to look at the number one moment from the whole season.
This wasn’t easy to choose. After all, part of me feels like a number one moment should be one between Claire and Jamie. This is a series about them. However, I couldn’t choose one of them because there’s a major moment between Claire and a guest character.

It’s all about “Blood of My Blood.” In Outlander Season 4, Episode 6, Claire gets the chance to face Lord John Grey. While treating him for measles, the two have a chance to connect and see each other from a different point of view. It’s a moment that will have ramifications throughout the series, which makes it so important and worthy of the number one spot.
But aren’t there many moments throughout this episode? Well, yes but there’s one, in particular, that stands out. It’s as John admits that he’s jealous of the satisfaction that Claire can offer Jamie — and the satisfaction that Jamie gives Claire. This is something that Lord John Grey has never been able to offer for the women in his life.
However, John isn’t the only one who has been in that situation. As John laments on his marriage to Isobel, Claire thinks about her marriage to Frank. There are clearly regrets from the 20 years that she was with him, wishes that things could have been different. No matter how much she loves Jamie, there will always be thoughts of Frank. He was an important part of her life.
This moment brings that to the surface. She shares her failings and it offers a chance for both Claire and John to connect on a deeper level. The performance between the two of them was spectacular. Nothing flashy was needed, as it was all about the words.
