Is The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco something to watch during Droughtlander?
There are so many shows out there now. If you’re looking for something to watch during Droughtlander, The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco may be something you’ve come across. Could it be right for Outlander fans?
The Bletchley Circle gained popularity in the past, so it wasn’t surprising that a spin-off was created. The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco continued the same codebreaking detective story but moved it all to America. Could it be something that will help you get through Droughtlander?
It certainly is something for Outlander fans who love murder mysteries and crime dramas. Those who enjoyed the original series will also find something to enjoy about the BritBox Original. The main characters moved over to the spin-off while introducing new women as the focus shifted to America.

The reason to watch isn’t just because it’s a period drama or because the leads are all women. This is a series that will have you glued to the screen from the start. There are plenty of clues to work out yourself from the very beginning.
Each character is distinctively different from each other. There is someone for all, whether you love the all-business characters or those who love a little bit of fun.
One of the reasons Outlander fans will enjoy it is because of the shift from London, England to San Francisco, United States. There’s a culture change, something that was evident when Claire and Jamie went from their Scottish life to their Colonial life. While not quite on the same level and without the tensions of the Regulators, the Native neighbors, and tax issues, there are still certainly elements of the culture that the London investigators need to get used to.
Another reason Outlander fans will connect to it is because of the 1956 patriarchal society that is the United States. Remember when Claire moved to Boston and realized that the men were pushing women back into the house? After women proved they were able to do many of the jobs men did during the War, society moved back a few decades in the 1950s. That’s something that comes out even more in The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco.
There’s only one season, so it’s not going to take up much of your time. However, it’s certainly something to get through a little Droughtlander.
