25 best Claire and Jamie moments: The theater scenes make a surprising appearance
Before Outlander Season 4 premiered, I put together a list of 25 best Claire and Jamie moments. It’s being updated slowly with some of the Season 4 moments that belong and a surprising one is the theater scenes.
Outlander Season 4 had some excellent Claire and Jamie moments and they need to be placed on the 25 best Claire and Jamie moments from the series, created before the fourth season premiere. This is something that I’ll update slowly throughout Droughtlander. One Season 4 moment has already been added and now it’s time for another.
The theater scenes make a surprising appearance on the list. I know this is something that will leave some people scratching their heads, but allow me to explain my reasons. The theater scenes saw some of the best moments of the married couple working as a team. Check out the full list to see where the scenes belong.

Up until Episode 8, we’d seen Claire and Jamie dealing with their problems mostly alone. Sure, they both remained together to bury Gavin Hayes (also helping Bonnet escape) and Jamie stood by Claire’s side at River Run with the dying slave, but it was the theater moments that really showed them at their best.
Jamie needed to save Murtagh. After hearing that Murtagh was walking into a trap, Jamie knew he had to do something to prevent Murtagh being arrested and, eventually, hanged. But he needed a distraction.
Of course, the distraction was something Claire could help with. A man was suffering from a hernia and Claire had the skills to help. She would have done the surgery anyway, but it was the way she stood by Jamie that put this moment on my list. Time after time, we’ve seen Jamie forced into a corner to stand by Claire, but this moment was Claire’s chance to stand by Jamie and offer him a distraction.
She didn’t question why Jamie would need to save Murtagh. All she asked was for him to be quick, which would have been a response from anyone in this position. This was a moment that showed her love and devotion to him.
