Outlander Book 9 daily lines: Fergus up to his Parisian orphan ways?
Diana Gabaldon has shared her daily lines for Outlander Book 9. Claire’s mention of Fergus certain makes it seem like he’s up to his Parisian orphan ways.
Remember when Fergus was introduced? He was a poor Parisian orphan, stealing to survive (and as jobs for other people). Well, you can take the boy out of Paris but you can’t take Paris out of the boy it seems from the Outlander Book 9 daily lines.
Titled “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone,” Book 9 is the addition to the series that many fans are looking forward to. It’s been a while since we’ve had a daily lines addition and this was a welcome surprise earlier this week.

It doesn’t give many spoilers for events that have happened in past books. What it does hint at is that part of Fergus’ upbringing hasn’t left him. There’s still the little pickpocket in there, although this time he’s stealing something much bigger than Sawney. Of course, it’s never mentioned that he’s actually stolen anything, but I’m choosing to read between Claire’s story of how that canvas turned up.
This also shows how the bonds between the Frasers will adapt from Season 4 to Book 9. The last we saw of the family on the show, Jamie and Roger weren’t exactly the greatest fans of each other. Over the years, that will change and it’s clear that the two do get along in some ways.
Check out the latest daily lines below. If you haven’t read the other books, some of the parts may make you scratch you head in wonder but it’s all about Claire’s comments on how the canvas was acquired for me.
