Droughtlander is here and that means you’re looking for ways to get through. While you could rewatch Outlander, what about trying out other shows? Could You on Netflix be your Droughtlander binge?
There are thousands, if not millions, of TV shows out there around the world. While you could watch Outlander on repeat throughout Droughtlander, there are chances you want to try out something different. But you want to stick to a similar genre or you want to opt for other book adaptations. This is where You on Netflix comes into play.
It’s both a book adaptation and a “romance” of sorts. Well, it’s a “romance” depending on the view you take. After binge-watching all 10 episodes on Netflix, I can tell you it’s more thriller than romance, but the lead character thinks he’s in love.

You is more of a tale of a stalker, and just how easy it is to pick up a stalker. He just finds something attractive and that’s it. If there’s a way into your life, a stalker will do it. And that’s exactly what Joe does to Beck throughout You.
Could it be your Droughtlander binge? Well, it won’t get you through the whole of Droughtlander. With just 10 episodes, it will take you a few days at the most to binge-watch. That’s if you’re comfortable binge-watching.
It’s dark and it’s creepy at times. You’ll start to think about your own social media presence and how it could be easy for a stalker to track your life. One thing’s for sure; you’ll want to turn Outlander back on for a real love story of equals!
I do recommend watching it, though. It’s remained pretty faithful to the book — although there are liberties here and there to turn the 400+ pages into a 10-episode series. Because it was originally on Lifetime, the episodes are around 40-minutes long instead of the hour that Outlander is, which also helps to make binge-watching easy.
The storytelling is on point. Sera Gamble is one of my favorite showrunners (I love The Magicians) and she works with Greg Berlanti on this series. With two experienced showrunners who aren’t afraid to take risks, it’s not surprising that You on Netflix has impressed. A second season is coming and it will likely come out before Outlander Season 5.
