Outlander book fans couldn’t help but point out Roger’s storyline was slightly different. Is it possible that the show will deliver a slight time twist in Outlander Season 4, Episode 13?

The Outlander Season 4 finale airs on Sunday and we can’t help but wonder what it is we’ll see. The trailer gives us a hint, but there’s the question of a time twist. Book fans couldn’t help but point out a slight change to Roger’s storyline that meant a lack of Claire and Jamie in the episode.

One thing the show has managed well is showing a storyline from two different points of view. This has happened since the first season when we got to see Claire with Black Jack Randall in one episode and then Jamie going to rescue her in the next. When Claire went back through the stones, we got to see Claire seeing Jamie after 20 years and then got the view from the other side in the next episode.

More from Opinion

This is something we could see again in the upcoming episode. There’s a chance that we’ll see Jamie and Claire witnessing Roger throw the gunpowder at the burning priest to make the death more merciful. If not the actual events, they may witness the aftermath. There is a clip of Jamie at the village with a fire burning larger than a normal campfire, suggesting it’s the remnants of burning the priest.

Seeing this would certainly make another part of the trailer make sense. There’s a mention of Jamie going “back” to Roger. While that could mean we’ll see the two get to the village and find out where Roger is being kept, it could also mean that they make it under the cover of darkness to find out the events. That could certainly lead to the story that they hear from one of the Mohawk women.

Do you think the series will add a time twist? Will we see the same story from another view? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
