Will Claire and Jamie save Roger in the Outlander Season 4 finale?
The Outlander Season 4 finale is upon us and there’s a big question: Will Claire and Jamie save Roger? Is there enough time for this?
Outlander Season 4 comes to an end this Sunday. Before getting ready for Droughtlander, it’s time to look at what to expect in the episode. One of the biggest questions involves most of our main characters. Will Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian save Roger from the Mohawks?
This isn’t going to include book spoilers. I’m speculating based on the last episode and released material for the episode.

Let’s be honest, it’s the finale. Any show that doesn’t wrap up most of its season-long storylines is a little odd. It shouldn’t be surprising to see Claire and Jamie save their son-in-law.
Everything in the synopsis and trailer suggests that Roger will be saved. We get a glimpse of Claire with Brianna and then there’s a clip of Brianna running to someone, no longer visibly pregnant. So, unless there’s some odd use of flashbacks that don’t make sense, Brianna is likely running towards her handfasted husband.
How that will happen isn’t clear. Again, this isn’t going to include the book storyline, so I’d appreciate book readers not spoiling it for those who are show-watchers first.
In the trailer, we see that Jamie and Young Ian are heading into the Mohawk village under the cover of dark. This is possibly to rescue Roger from the “idiot hut” without the Mohawks realizing, maybe because they’ve refused to trade him back after his previous actions. It doesn’t look like this will work out, as they’re surrounded by Mohawks and find themselves in the middle of a fight.
Of course, trailers are often well cut. They show clips out of order, so it’s impossible to tell whether many of the images are from the start of the episode or close to the end. However, one thing is clear: Roger is likely to be saved.
