Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 was a powerful episode, far better than the premiere. Here are five things that I enjoyed so much about it.

I’ve shared my best moments, but something I haven’t done is shared why I loved Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 far more than the premiere episode the week before. It’s time to delve into more of the details and look at what made “Do No Harm” stand out so much.

What I don’t want you to think is that I hated everything about the premiere episode. On the contrary, I loved it more than I disliked certain elements. The issue for me was that it felt more like a pilot episode of a series and I just didn’t expect that from a Season 4 premiere. However, the writers still have it and Episode 2 quickly picked up the pace.

So with that in mind, it’s time to delve into the details. Here’s why Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 stood out more than the previous episode.

5. The music was more on-point

More from Opinion

It’s no secret that I’m in the club of those who didn’t like the end music in the premiere. It took me out of the moment. And while, in a sense, that’s what the music was meant to do, it made me forget we were in the 18th century. For a moment, it felt like we were in the 20th century and Claire and Jamie were in a play within the show.

The music in “Do No Harm” was more on-point. We got an episode that was just Bear McCreary’s music and that’s something I adore. I love hearing Claire and Jamie’s theme throughout and we got other moments that were focused on the time period.

With the right music, an episode is going to feel right deep down. That’s what “Do No Harm” offered.
