Which old faces will return in Outlander Season 4, Episodes 5 and 6?

Outlander Season 4 will old faces return. Some of those faces will appear in Episodes 5 and 6. Just who could it be?

Outlander Season 4 has only given us one episode so far, but there is already talk of future episodes. More importantly, there’s talk of Episodes 5 and 6 and old faces appearing. Just who is coming back into Claire and Jamie’s life?

TVLine shared some spoilery teases for things to come in a variety of shows. One of those was Outlander. While Michael Ausiello couldn’t share details, he did tell fans that Episodes 5 and 6 will see some old faces return. And that’s got people chatting and theorizing.

The news comes after the hint that someone isn’t going to be traveling back in time before Thanksgiving. These two spoilery pieces could link together.

If Brianna and Roger aren’t time traveling until after Thanksgiving, that takes us to Episode 4 (which will air Nov. 25). It would take time for both to eventually make their way to the Colonies, so that means Episodes 5-6 would be when at least one would come face-to-face with Claire and Jamie.

However, there’s a suggestion in the spoilery tidbit that this is someone both Claire and Jamie have seen before. While Jamie has seen photos of Brianna, he hasn’t met her before. If both see “old faces” that suggests its someone from their past in Scotland. Could this mean a certain grumpy but loyal kinsman will show up?

We’ve all wanted to know how Outlander Season 4 will integrate Murtagh into the storyline after saving him from death at Culloden (and then later at Ardsmuir). The last we saw, he was being transported to the Colonies to serve out his prison sentence. Now that Jamie and Claire are in the New World, it suggests they will run into Murtagh.

There are others from Ardsmuir who could show up. These are men Claire would know a little considering she played a huge part in the Jacobite cause in Scotland. However, Murtagh is definitely the one that stands out the most.
